SHEPHERD-BOYS WORSHIP TOO

1 Samuel 16:1-13

Who are you? What have you been reduced to in the eyes of men? Standing in a place where your value is underestimated is extremely difficult. David’s life wasn’t easy because he was seen as the family misfit. The son with a speculated shameful conception; Yet he was chosen by God to be King.

Though predestined for greatness, his value was unseen. In 1 Samuel 16:1-13 we see the flaw in man’s tendency to choose void of God’s confirmation, for rarely do we see the heart. His capacity for God’s presence found root whist tending the flock. What’s exemplary is that in light of all the questions regarding his life; David’s worshipful existence would cause him to be revered in the annals of history as a man after God’s heart.

It’s the aroma of the heart’s worship that attracts the presence of God, Not the stench of our flesh’s sweat. Though man may disqualify you for your shepherd-boy stench, God searches the aroma of your heart. Take a lesson from David’s life; Worship from a Shepherd’s heart begets Generals, then Kings.
